<Cobalt blue>

This art piece that I created was Inspired by a trip to the Lofoten Islands in Norway, where I was mesmerized by the colors of the landscape. It was the first time I had ever seen a river completely free of rubbish, and the first time I witnessed such tranquil shades of green and blue mirrored in both the water and the sky. The experience gave me a sense of peace. The scenery also reminded me of the harmonious hue of cobalt blue. In this oil painting, I made extensive use of cobalt blue to create a glimpse of heaven. I hope my painting encourages audience to make an effort to sustain our cities and protect the environment so as to preserve such beauty in our own lives.
