Participants who are shortlisted for the final must complete the registration and payment for the final within 14 days after the results of the preliminary competition are announced

Awards ceremony:

The awards ceremony will be held on July 17th at Sakura Hall after the competition concludes. The champion will receive a certificate and trophy. The runner-up, third place, honorary and merit award recipients will receive certificates and medals.

The registration fee includes the certificate, trophy/medal. Please note that the trophy and medal presented at the award ceremony are notwill notThe name of the winner is printed.

Participants who are unable to attend the award ceremony can apply for their certificates and trophies/pennants to be sent to the designated address after the competition. Shipping costs will be charged separately based on local postal charges.

The Association offers a trophy upgrade service. Winners who wish to have their trophies printed with their own names can apply for this upgrade on the official website after the competition. Please note that custom trophies are an additional service and are not included in the registration fee. Shipping costs will be charged separately based on local postal rates. The production time for the trophy upgrade service is 2-3 months. If you cannot wait, the Association does not recommend applying for a custom trophy.

Final Round Rules (Tokyo Grand Final)

  • There is no dress code.
  • You are free to choose the same theme or different themes during the preliminary and final rounds.
  • Content must not contain vulgar or offensive language.
  • Participants are allowed to use cue cards during their presentations to assist in the delivery of their presentations.
  • If the set speech period is exceeded, a bell will sound to indicate the end of the speech period. Please stop speaking at that time.
  • After your speech, please exit from the wings of the stage and exit the building. We kindly ask for your cooperation and not to remain in the lobby.
  • All rights related to the recording, distribution and sale of performances, reviews, seminar recordings, recordings, etc. performed at GASCA International Competitions belong to the organizers.
  • Videos of performances, reviews and workshops from GASCA International competitions may be posted online without prior notice.
  • Filming or recording during competitions is prohibited.
  • The date and time of the judging will be determined by the sponsor.
  • Additional reservations and cancellations will be posted on the organizer's website if required.
  • There is no parking lot.Please come by public transport.
  • Preschool children are not allowed in the halls.Also, if it is determined that a contestant will be disturbed by crying, etc., we may ask them to leave the room.
  • All travel and accommodation expenses are borne by the participants themselves.
  • No refunds will be given after application for any reason.

Scoring criteria:

Judges will assign scores based on the following criteria:

Performance charm (20%): includes the speaker's posture, body language and overall stage presence. Maintaining a calm, confident presentation helps support your presentation and engage your audience.
Voice and Pronunciation (20%): Speaking clearly, using volume, rhythm and intonation appropriately to enhance your speech and make it more attractive to your audience is crucial. Pitch changes and pauses can significantly affect the delivery.
Emotional Expression (20%): Use emotion and emphasis appropriate to the content of the speech or recitation. It requires a delicate balance to convey the right emotion without overacting.
Subject Matter Communication (20%): Demonstrates a clear understanding of the subject matter that enables the speaker to communicate it in a way that makes the content accessible and vivid to the audience.
Overall performance (20%): This encompasses the overall effectiveness of the speech or recitation, including the speaker's ability to stay engaged, convey the message clearly, and leave a lasting impact on the audience.
Competition Awards:

Tokyo International Speech Contest Outstanding Teacher Award - The tutor of the top three winners in each group will receive a certificate and a trophy.

Tokyo International Speech Competition - Talent Development Silver Award: HK$500 cash prize, awarded to tutors who invite five or more students.

Tokyo International Speech Contest, Japan - Gold Award for Training Talents: HK$1000 cash prize, awarded to tutors who invite ten or more students.

Tokyo International Speech Contest in Japan - Education Grand Prize: Schools/education centers that invite ten or more students to participate in each group of competitions will receive a certificate and a trophy.


Participation Award: All participants will receive a participation certificate.
