Participants who are shortlisted for the final must complete the registration and payment for the final within 14 days after the results of the preliminary competition are announced

*The number of places in the final is limited. Participants must first obtain the qualifications and then register on a first-come-first-served basis; once the payment is confirmed, successfully admitted participants will be notified by email.

Awards ceremony:

The awards ceremony will be held on July 14th after the competition concludes. The champion will receive a certificate and trophy. The runner-up, third place, and honorable mentions will receive certificates and medals.

The registration fee includes the certificate, trophy/medal. Please note that the trophy and medal presented at the award ceremony are notwill notThe name of the winner is printed.

Participants who are unable to attend the award ceremony can apply for their certificates and trophies/pennants to be sent to the designated address after the competition. Shipping costs will be charged separately based on local postal charges.

The Association offers a trophy upgrade service. Winners who wish to have their trophies printed with their own names can apply for this upgrade on the official website after the competition. Please note that custom trophies are an additional service and are not included in the registration fee. Shipping costs will be charged separately based on local postal rates. The production time for the trophy upgrade service is 2-3 months. If you cannot wait, the Association does not recommend applying for a custom trophy.

Final Round Rules (Tokyo Grand Final)
  • There are no specific costume requirements for this competition; participants may prepare appropriate costumes according to their performance style.
  • Entries must not contain vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate content.
  • Contestants must complete their performance within the designated time; if the time is exceeded, a bell will be rung to signal the contestant to end the performance immediately.
  • After the performance, please leave via the side of the stage as instructed by staff. Please do not linger in the lobby to maintain order.
  • Free stage rehearsal services are available for the dance category. Participants must register in advance via Google Form. Each rehearsal will last 6 minutes, and the exact time slot will be announced one week before the competition.
  • All performances, comments, recordings, and videos produced during the competition are the property of the organizer.
  • The organizer has the right to publish competition-related photos and videos on the official website or social media platforms without prior notice.
  • Filming, recording, or videotaping is prohibited during the competition.
  • The competition process, judging arrangements, and schedule will be finalized by the organizer.
  • Any updates, reservations, or cancellation notices will be announced on the organizer's official website.
  • There are no parking spaces available at the venue; participants and spectators are advised to use public transportation.
  • Preschool children are not allowed to enter the venue; if they cry or otherwise disrupt the competition, the organizers have the right to ask them to leave.
  • All transportation, accommodation and related expenses must be borne by the participants themselves.
  • Once registration is submitted, all fees paid are non-refundable.
Scoring criteria:

Judges will assign scores based on the following criteria:

Skill and execution of movements (30%)
The evaluation assesses the dancer's accuracy, control, posture, body lines, and the difficulty of the movements. Smooth transitions, correct technique, and mastery of the dance style are all important criteria for this assessment.

Musicality and rhythm mastery (25%)
Assess the dancer's coordination with the music, sense of rhythm, mastery of beat, and responsiveness to musical changes. Dance movements should fully showcase the rhythmic structure and characteristics of the music.

Expressiveness and stage presence (25%)
The judges will score the dancers based on their emotional expression, storytelling, facial expressions, and stage presence. The dancers' ability to interact with the audience and to bring the work to life are key considerations.

Overall effect and creativity (20%)
Emphasis is placed on choreographic creativity, stage visual effects, costume design, and the overall integrity of the work. The performance must possess distinctive characteristics, artistic appeal, and a memorable stage effect.
Competition Awards:

Overall Champion (one winner) - Awarded HK$2300 cash prize

The Outstanding Teacher Award at the Tokyo International Dance Competition in Japan - The instructors of the top three winners in each group will receive a certificate and a trophy.

Tokyo International Dance Competition, Japan - Silver Award for Nurturing Talents: HK$500 cash prize, awarded to the instructor who invites five or more students.

Tokyo International Dance Competition, Japan - Gold Award for Nurturing Talents: HK$1000 cash prize, awarded to the instructor who has invited ten or more students.

Tokyo International Dance Competition - Education Grand Prize: Schools/educational centers that invite ten or more students to participate in each category will receive a certificate and a trophy.


Participation Award: All participants will receive a participation certificate.
