The "GASCA-IAP French Louvre Exhibition Competition" jointly organized by the Global Arts, Sports and Culture Association (GASCA) and the International Art Panoranma (IAP) is an international art competition focusing on the theme of environmental protection. This eventThe exhibition and award ceremony of his works will be held grandly at the Louvre Museum in France on February 2025, 2, aiming to send important messages of environmental protection and sustainable development to the world through the power of art. GASCA is currently recruiting preliminary entries from around the world and welcomes artists from all over the world to submit their paintings, calligraphy or photography works. Regardless of nationality, everyone aged three and above is welcome to participate.


Louvre Museum in France Exhibition Venue:

Le Carrousel du Louvre is one of the public entrances to the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. Its world-famous reverse pyramid glass structure attracts thousands of visitors every year. This art-filled venue is a coveted place for artists from all over the world to display their works.

In the comprehensive painting, calligraphy and photography group, the contestant with the highest score will win the overall championship, the contestant with the second highest score will win the overall runner-up, and the contestant with the third highest score will win the overall third runner-up and will receive the following cash prize 

The overall winner (one person) will receive a cash prize of HK$2300
The overall runner-up (one person) will receive a cash prize of HK$1600

Awards:
Champion, First runner-up and Second runner-up (one each):Contestants who are awarded with corresponding scores will receive a certificate and eligible to apply for a trophy
Honorable Mention (85 points or above): Awarded to contestants with outstanding performance, they will receive a certificate and a medal
Merit Award (70 points or above):Awarded to contestants with outstanding performance, they will receive a certificate and a medal
Participation Award: All contestants will be issued with an e-participation certificate.
International Art Competition Active Participation and Guidance Prize (Silver Award): Tutors who lead five or more students to participate in each group of competitions will receive a certificate and a bonus of HK$250.
International Art Competition Active Participation and Guidance Prize (Gold Medal): If you lead ten or more students, you will receive a certificate and a bonus of HK$500 (tutors need to submit their own award application form)
International Outstanding Art Tutor Award:Tutors who award awards to students in each group of competitions will receive a certificate and a trophy (tutors need to submit their own award application forms)
International Outstanding Art Education Award: The school/education center invites ten or more students to participate in each group of competitions and will receive a certificate and a trophy (the school/education center needs to submit the award application form by itself).

The entry fee includes standard certificates and medals, no additional application is required. (The standard trophy/medal will not be engraved with the winner’s name)
All winners will receive a free electronic certificate with the participant’s name printed on it

This competition provides medal and trophy upgrade services, including a special crystal trophy for the Louvre Exhibition Competition and a commemorative medal (which will be engraved with the name of the winner). A handling fee of HK$300 is required for the upgrade service. After application and payment, the conference will be mailed to the designated address in 2-3 months. If you are unable to wait, the Association does not recommend applying for upgrades to medals/trophies.

Selection of exhibited works:
The winner can choose to exhibit the original painting or a reproduction at the Louvre Museum in France.
Original works on display: Participants must mail the physical works to the GASCA Hong Kong branch office before January 2025, 1. The sender must pay the postage by himself.
Exhibition of reproduction works: The printing fee is HKD130/work. Participants do not need to mail the physical works. After paying the printing fee, the conference will print out their works and display them in the Louvre Museum in France.

Award Ceremony at the Louvre Museum in France:
The award ceremony will be held at the Louvre Museum in France.
It is not compulsory to attend the award ceremony. Participants can voluntarily go to the Louvre Museum in France to participate in the exhibition and award ceremony on February 2025, 2. The cost of traveling to the French award ceremony venue must be borne by the participants at their own expense.
If you want to attend the award ceremony, you need to fill in the attendance form before January 2025, 1, so that the conference can arrange the award ceremony process and issue the physical certificate.

Competition rules: 
  • Painting Group: There are no restrictions on tools and paints. You can freely choose wood colors, crayons, oil pastels, watercolors, advertising colors, plastic colors, etc.
  • Calligraphy Group: Chinese Calligraphy, English Calligraphy
  • Photography Group: The works can be processed at will, and there is no restriction on any creative form.
  • Drawing paper size: A3
  • Each contestant can only submit the same work once.
  • Once submitted, the entries cannot be modified, exchanged or returned.
  • A photo of the contestant and the work needs to be uploaded

Scoring criteria:

Painting Group: Creativity (40%), Drawing skills (30%), Composition of work (30%) - The distinction between major and minor elements - Coordination of overall composition
Calligraphy group: glyphs (50%), Strokes(30%), Chapter editing(20%)
Photography Group: Technique (30%), Emotion and Storytelling (40%), Overall Impression (30%)
  • The judge will give the scores based on the above criteria.
  • The results of the competition will be calculated based on the average score of the judges, with two digits after the decimal point.
  • Decisions of the judge is final and may not be challenged.

Other conditions :

  • Entries must not contain obscene, violent, pornographic, slanderous, unhealthy, insulting elements, or any content that is controversial and inappropriate.
  • The organizer reserves the right to reject entries that are inappropriate, irrelevant to the theme of the competition, or submitted in the incorrect format.
  • Entries cannot contain commercial or political promotion elements.
  • Entries must be original and will not infringe the rights of third parties (including intellectual property rights, rights of confidentiality or privacy). Any violation of the rules will be disqualified from participating or winning. If the entries violate any laws, all legal responsibilities will be borne by the contestants, and the organizer will not be held responsible.
  • Application of minor contestants must obtain the consent of their parents or legal guardians to register for the competition and submit entries through their parents or guardians.
  • Contestants are strictly prohibited from falsely reporting their age. If the contestant's registration qualifications are found to be inconsistent with the true age, the contestants will be disqualified and no refund for the entry fee will be offered.
  • Contestants (including parents and teachers of minor contestants) must understand and agree to the rules and regulations of this competition. If a contestant violates any competition rules, the organizer and the judging committee have the right to disqualify their enrollment.
  • The organizer reserves the right of final interpretation of the general rules and regulations of the competition. If there is any dispute about this event, the organizer's ruling shall be the final ruling, and no one may object. In case of any discrepancy between the meanings of any translated versions, the Chinese language version shall prevail.

Q: What criteria does the exhibition organizer use to select works for inclusion in the exhibition?
Answer: Participants who score more than 80 points in the first stage of the competition will be eligible to participate in the exhibition. As long as the works can convey environmental protection messages, they will have the opportunity to be invited to participate in the exhibition.

Q: Do I have to choose to exhibit in order to participate in the competition?
A: Participating in the competition does not require you to participate in the exhibition. Participation in the exhibition is voluntary and only participants wishing to display their work at the Louvre in France are required to pay the exhibition fee. If you just want to compete and not exhibit, that's perfectly fine.

Q: Is collage okay?
Answer: If the collage material is a single-layer collage of drawing paper and drawing paper (single-layer drawing paper + single-layer drawing paper), and the collage work will not be too three-dimensional, it is acceptable. The thickness should not exceed 8mm, and the collage area should not exceed 30% of the work.

Q: What are the specifications and requirements for electronic works?
Answer: For frontal photos (jpeg, png), the pixels of photos taken by smartphones are generally sufficient. If there are any deficiencies, we will contact you individually.

Q: Can the same contestant submit more than one piece of work?
Answer: Yes. However, entries and exhibitions are based on one work. If an entrant needs to submit more than one work, he/she needs to register more than once.
