Participants who successfully advance can freely choose the session that suits them best
Regardless of which competition they choose to participate in, participants will showcase their talents in the most central concert halls in Bangkok and Japan, and compete against outstanding contestants from around the world.

Participants who are shortlisted for the final must complete the registration and payment for the final within 14 days after the results of the preliminary competition are announced

*The number of places in the final is limited. Participants must first obtain the qualifications and then register on a first-come-first-served basis; once the payment is confirmed, successfully admitted participants will be notified by email.


Awards ceremony:

The awards ceremony will be held at the same venue after the competition. The champion will receive a certificate and trophy. The runner-up, third place, honorable mention, and merit awards will receive certificates and pennants.

The final registration fee includes certificates, trophies/pennants.Please note that the trophies and pennants presented at the awards ceremony are notwill notThe name of the winner is printed.

Participants who are unable to attend the award ceremony can apply for their certificates and trophies/pennants to be sent to the designated address after the competition. Shipping costs will be charged separately based on local postal charges.

The Association provides an exclusive trophy upgrade service. If winners want to apply for a trophy with their own name printed on it, they can go to the official website to apply for the upgrade service after the competition.Please note that customized trophies are an additional service, and the cost of upgrading customized trophies is not included in the registration fee, and the shipping fee will be charged separately according to the local postal fee.The trophy upgrade service takes 2-3 months to produce.If you can't wait, the association does not recommend applying for exclusive trophies.

Final venue:

Friends, mentors, and family members of participants who wish to attend the competition must purchase tickets. Competition tickets cost HK$250 and will be available for public sale on the official website in early May and early July. Participants do not need to purchase tickets. There are 380 seats available; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We were honored to have a group of outstanding musicians in person at the finals of the GASCA Tokyo International Music Competition, including pianist Marco Fatichenti, jazz bassist and composer Yujiro Yoshimine, clarinetist Timothy Carter, viola player Christina Knudson, pianist Ami Fukui, and saxophone player Akihiro Yoshimoto. Their expertise and insights provided valuable advice and scoring for the contestants, making an important contribution to the success of the competition. They are not only judges for the contestants, but also mentors and inspirations for them. Their scoring and valuable feedback not only help the contestants improve their skills, but also bring a higher level and quality to the entire competition.

Final Rules

  • When the time limit is reached, a bell will sound to signal the end of the performance; the contestant must stop playing immediately. The judges will score the contestants based on their skills and performance within the time limit. Failure to complete the entire piece of music will not affect the score, so contestants are free to choose any piece of music to play, even if the length of the piece exceeds the time limit.
  • There is no dress code.
  • Feel free to choose any song.You are free to apply for the same song or different songs in the preliminary round and the final round.
  • The use of copied sheet music is prohibited. (Copies of originals are acceptable.)
  • Multiple songs can be played over a period of time.
  • Since there is only one piano on the playing field, a piano duet is not possible.
  • If you play an accompaniment piece in the finals, be sure to bring piano accompaniment.Contestants must arrange their own accompaniment and piano page turner.Ensembles with piano will also be judged.
  • For performances with piano accompaniment only the accompanist is late, and performances without piano accompaniment will also be accepted.
  • Participants must have all instruments ready.However, event organizers will provide a concert grand piano.
  • Please bring your own accessories (tuners, replacement strings, etc.).
  • If the set performance time is exceeded, a bell will ring to indicate the end of the performance.
  • Stop playback at that time.
  • After the show, please exit the wing of the stage and leave the building.We kindly ask for your cooperation and do not stay in the lobby.
  • All rights relating to the recording, distribution and sale of performances, reviews, workshop recordings, recordings, etc., performed in the GASCA International Music Competition belong to the organizers.
  • Videos of performances, reviews and workshops of the GASCA International Music Competition may be posted online without prior notice.
  • Filming or recording during competitions is prohibited.
  • The date and time of the judging will be determined by the sponsor.
  • Additional reservations and cancellations will be posted on the organizer's website if required.
  • There is no parking lot.Please come by public transport.
  • Preschool children are not allowed in the halls.Also, if it is determined that a contestant will be disturbed by crying, etc., we may ask them to leave the room.
  • All travel and accommodation expenses are borne by the participants themselves.
  • No refunds will be given after application for any reason.
